Job Description

carwow is looking for a Collections Team Leader to join our Customer Experience and Operations Team in Portugal. This role plays an integral part in the Sell Your Car business, navigating the process from offer agreed through to a smooth journey to collection.

The role would involve managing a team focused on delivering high quality customer experiences, a strong people manager, and problem solver. We are a global team, with this role sitting within the wider Operations team. We work together to provide best solutions to resourcing and process improvements. Whilst this role is required in Porto 2 days a week, there may be the opportunity to manage remote staff too.

About the role

Our sales department is the hub of the business ensuring that customers upload and go on to sell their car through our ‘Sell Your Car’ offering and your role is integral to the success of the customer journey.

Responsibilities

  • Manage individual performance of collections team
  • Understand training and quality needed to onboard, performance manage and improve gaps through coaching
  • Be capable of interviewing effectively and hiring candidates
  • Collecting team feedback and giving to managers in a constructive improvement manner
  • Handling escalations in a timely and effective manner
  • Finding efficiencies in process and suggesting to management

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing a successful, proactive team, it would be an advantage to have managed remote workers.
  • Effective use of data to explain pain points and understanding targets.
  • Desired experience of contact center or similar high-demand and fast-paced environment.
  • Coaching and managing through underperformance to empower team members.
  • Prioritising requests and managing stakeholders.
