We are currently looking for an IT Virtualization Operations Technical Analyst, to be part of our IT Operations Team in Paço de Arcos, Portugal. In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining VMware ESX, ESXi, within virtual environments (vSphere/vCenter 5/6/7, Microsoft Hyper-V and Oracle VM).
- Building, configuring and deploying VMs and templates. Responsible for standardizing processes for maintenance, provisioning and decommissioning.
- Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining replication and backup systems, including storage appliances.
- Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining Amplexor’s cloud computing environments (IaaS, SaaS).
- Performing planned maintenance activities on an established cycle.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date inventory, documentation and guidelines.
- Incident management.
- Request management.
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology and Computer Engineering or similar Engineering degree.
- Experience with virtual environments (based on VMWare/ESXi, HyperV, OVM or similar)
- Experience with server Operating Systems (UNIX and Windows).
- Experience with cloud providers (IaaS), such as Amazon AWS and MS Azure.
- Familiarity with Veeam Backup products.
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English (C1 level)
