We are seeking an experienced Head of People Operations to join our fast-growing international company in our Lisbon office.

Role Purpose

The Head of People Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing the global human resources operations functions. This includes talent acquisition, talent development and performance management, compensation and benefits, and ensuring HR policies align with Acolad overall strategy. They play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting the well-being of employees worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the People Operations teams.
  • Oversee performance management processes, providing guidance on goal setting, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Implement career development plans to support employee growth and retention
  • Develop and implement service level agreements and performance metrics to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
  • Monitor and continuously improve People service delivery processes and identify opportunity to streamlining standardizing People processes across the organization to achieve operational excellence.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of People technology systems, and leverage technology and automation to drive process efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within People systems and databases.
  • Promote and facilitate the use of self-service tools and portals to empower employees and managers to access People information and perform transactions independently.
  • Develop and maintain self-service resources, including FAQs, guides, and tutorials.
  • Utilize People data and analytics to generate insights, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve People services and processes.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate key People metrics and performance indicators to leadership.
  • Ensure that People shared services activities comply with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Lead change initiatives related to People process improvements, technology implementations, and organizational changes. Communicate changes effectively to employees, managers, and stakeholders and provide training as needed.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team environment, fostering cross-functional cooperation, knowledge sharing, and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Proven track record and experience of working as a Head of People in Shared Services or People Operations teams, encompassing various functions and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of HRIS, HR helpdesk, and payroll principle, practices, and technologies. Having experienced the selection, implementation, and optimization of HRIS systems.
  • Proven experience in team management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
  • Strong process optimization and efficiency mindset.
  • Change management and project management expertise.
  • Customer-centric approach and problem-solving skills
  • Communication skills: verbal communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organization; written communication skills to produce succinct reports.
  • Results and service focused.
  • Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail under pressure and tough deadlines.
Desirable experience
  • Mamp;A acquisition and integration experience
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluency in English is a must.
