About the roleWe are looking for a paid fixed term 12 month PR amp; Marketing Internship to join our Nordic Marcomms team, based in Stockholm.
This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for a person that shows a real passion for podcasts, and has demonstrable skills and/or experience in PR and marketing.
You will work closely with the Nordics PR amp; Marketing Manager, supporting across all activity for the Acast brand in the Nordics. Including supporting marketing campaigns across all channels, assisting with Acast and industry events, supporting Acast’s PR activity and manage Acast’ssocial media accounts
You need to be passionate about podcasts, have an understanding of the media industry, and be able to juggle multiple projects at once. You need to be proactive, organized, creative and able to be a great ambassador for Acast and our podcasts. The internship would suit a candidate early in their career.
What you’ll doPR/CommsYou will write pitches, press releases and other press material in Swedish and English. Another task is to pitch for media coverage and coordinate media interviews with spokespeople where necessary and monitor media coverage on the podcast and media industry, including competitors, reporting to wider teams for awareness or proactive PR opportunities.
• Create and maintain media lists and use media databases to research journalists.• Work closely with the Nordic Manage a journalist newsletter, working with the Content team to collate the latest podcast launches and news to share with the media press.• Track and measure PR metrics and success. • Maintain and update PR assets and product information.• Marketing /Support the Nordic team on organizing, managing and running Acast events, both internal and external. For example, Acast hosting advertising events, partnered/sponsored Acast sessions at industry events, agency activations, awards and other sponsorships.•Manage an events calendar for Sweden, Norway and Denmark with relevant industry events for Acast across our advertiser and creator audiences.•Support on marketing campaigns or initiatives - internal or external - as required, for example managing marketing partnerships, house ad campaigns, photo-shoots, creating content and more.•Contribute to Acast’s social media channels in Sweden including creating content for both organic and paid campaigns.
Who you areYou have experience from working at a PR-agency (internship or employment) and have great communication skills, both written and verbal in Swedish and English and has a strong interest for writing all kinds of content; articles, briefings, internal documents, copywriting, etc. Of course you are hot on spelling, grammar and proofreading.
•Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external and internal contacts, and deal with all levels of employees and contacts in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.•Conversant in digital and social media.•Idea-driven and creative-minded, able to produce proactive ideas with and for the wider team that can positively impact the business.•Knowledgeable in (or willing to learn how to use) software like , PR monitoring tools e.g Cision, Keynote, Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, Microsoft Suite, and the Google Suite.• You must work well both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with teams across the global business on projects, launches and announcements.•Experience in managing events (either through placement or employment)•Fluency in Swedish amp; English, both written and speaking is required
